Entering Race Results

Race results can be entered after the scheduled start of the race. You must be a Race Officer.

Adding Results

Go to the series page. If it is now after the scheduled start of the race and there are no results, a "Add Results" button is shown. Clicking this button presents two choices:

• Race was run: You will be prompted to enter the name of the race officer and the conditions
• Race was not run: You will be prompted to enter the reason why

If the race was run, use the "Add Result" button two add a result for an individual competitor. The UI will step through the process of adding a result:

• 1. Select Entrant: Either pick from a list of existing entrants, or add a new one.
• 2. Enter Result: This is either the races time, or the reason why no time is recorded
• Race Time: The elapsed time and laps.
• No Time Recorded: The reason, e.g. Did Not Start.
• 3. Review: Check the result and click the "Add to the Result" button if ok.

A check is made to see that is no existing time for the helm or boat. A new line is added and the results are recalculated. To continue adding more results click the "Add another result" button.

Modifying Results

To modify a result, delete it using the trashcan link and then reenter the correct result

Attaching Race Forms

A copy of the race forms can uploaded and attached to the results. There is the option of taking pictures on a mobile device through a scannable QR code, which is often simpler and quicker than scanning a physical document.

Complete Results

Click "Complete Results" button once entry is completed. This marks the result as finalised and can no longer be modified. They can be reopened by selecting "Reopen Results" from the "Actions" button. You must be a Sailing Admin
