The manual entry of position, race points and adjusted (handicapped) time is supported. This option can be used if the automated calculations don't support your calculation rules.
This feature is intended for occasional use. It is preferable to use automated calculations where possible. Please use the Feedback form to discuss your needs.
Manual calculations must be enabled on a race-by-race basis and only apply to the race results. If there are multiple races in a series, then the series level points and discards are calculated automatically. You can have a mix of manual calculated and automatically race results in a series.
Click on the "Manage this race" button at the bottom of the race page, select "Switch to manual calculations" and confirm that you wish to make this change. You must be a Sailing Admin
If manual calculations are enabled, an additional step "Manual Calculations" step is added to the result entry UI, and the results table highlight manually calculated results (this only shows when entering results).
All the manual calculations fields are optional and can be filled in as required by your rules. Points must be entered for the result to be included in the series result calculation.
Please beware that the automated generation of "Did Not Compete" results for races will continue and will use the automated calculations to allocated points. You may need to manually add these to get the correct series level result.
