Manage how points are allocated to races and series, for example the discard rules. Points are allocated using rules defined in Appendix A of the "Racing Rules of Sailing".
You must be a Sailing Admin to manage point cards. Go to the Point Allocation Cards page This is also available as a link on the "Sailing Admin dashboard".
Please note that changes are immediately applied to all series that reference the card. If alterations are required, it is recommended that a new card is created. This can be setup as a clone as the original and then modified.
Configure how points are allocated to boats without a time from their result code. It is only necessary to enter values for the codes you use. When adding or editing a value you must specify the base value:
The calculation of the base value is as follows:
Change the discard rules base on the number of race in the series that were run, e.g. for 4 races, pick the best 3.
Adjust the definition of "competed" if required.
Adjust the definition of "finished" if required.
This is only relevant if you run races with mixed fleets and set these up as a single race in myclub. For example, you might have "fast" and "medium" and "slow" fleets all competing in the same event and in one particular event there are no entries in the "slow" fleet. If enabled this will silently remove this race for the slow fleet when determining points and discards at the series level.
