Sailing Series

Sailing series are used to group a related set of sailing activities together, for example a race series.

Once they are setup, any user can navigate easily between series, activities (e.g. races) and the calendars.

Adding a Series

You must be a Sailing Admin to manage sailing series. Go to the Sailing Dashboard for you club and click the "Add Sailing Series " button.

Please fill in the details for the series. You will be prompted to add more information if you select "Racing" as the type of sailing.

A newly created series has no activities. New activities are added via the calendar, see below.

Adding Activities to a Series

Every activity is linked to an entry in the calendar. The steps are

• Pick a Calendar
• Create a new entry, or select an existing entry
• Click the "Manage this entry" link
• A form with options is shown. Click the "Add an Activity" button.
• Pick this series from the list and complete the details of the activity.

Repeat this as required until all activities are added. Please note that it is possible to have multiple activities linked the same calendar entry.

Showing Results

If there are races, then series level results will start showing once at least one draft race result is added. Series results are recalculated whenever a race result is added or changed.

The result status is shown as "In Progress" until all race results are completed and approved.
