Sailing Activities and Calendars

In MyClub, Calendars are flexible and are used to join related modules together in a single user view, for example for an event there may be:

New sailing activities must be linked correctly to entries in a calendar. If you have used a system that just manages a sailing calendar this may feel like an additional step, however the UI will guide you quickly through the process.

You may do this either "side":

Hopefully this soon seems natural and the benefits of a unified calendar view are apparent.

Events with Multiple Activities

It is common to have multiple activities at a single event. In these cases, you have the option of either creating a single calendar entry with multiple activities, or a calendar entry for each activity.

There is no "right" or "wrong", though a single calendar entry with multiple activities usually works better if you are sharing links or posting to social media.

There are some examples below.

Single Calendar Entry

An example event with multiple activities.

April 23 (12:00 to 16:00)

Duties

Additional Info
We will come ashore for a short break after Race 1.

Maintaining Calendar Data

Sailing Admins have permission to manage calendar entries. To change an entry, for example alter the "Additional Info" click on the "Manage this entry" link at the top left. A form with more options is shown.

Please note that you must be a Duty Admin to add or remove duties.
