A "Linked " user doesn't have a sign in. They are instead managed by another user, known as the "lead user". The lead user must be a full user.
They don't have their own email address, all communications is via the lead user.

When the lead user signs in, they will be prompted to pick a user. If they chose one of the linked users, they "become" that user, i.e. they see data as if that user had signed in. They can change back at any time using the "Switch" button on the top right.
Each linked user has their own permission rules, they don't "inherit" the permission of the lead user
If the Club Management Module is enabled and being used to manage memberships, then a linked user will be created for each person on a membership. The lead user can then manage basic personal data, name, age range, gender, skills on their behalf
This category is similar to a club managed user, but with a club managed user it is the club who is responsible.
